Did you know that you can use interns to grow you blog? It doesn’t matter if you’re a new blogger or seasoned professional. And, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been blogging. Here are some tips on how to use interns to grow your blog.
Is your to-do list a mile long? Trust, me I get it. Mine is too. But, I have a secret weapon. I use interns to help me accomplish some of my daily tasks.
And, you can too! Here are some tips to get you started:
1. Find quality intern candidates
Finding the right candidates for the job is one of the most important steps. You need to find interns that are motivated and have the skill sets you need.
2. Provide “real-world experience”
Yes, interns will help you get things done. They can truly be a valuable part of your team. But, in return you need to provide them with real-world work experience. I’m not talking about filling their days with boring, monotonous data entry or the things that no one else wants to do.
3. Soak up their knowledge
I swear that kids today are born with Facebook profiles, Twitter accounts and hashtags. I think they come with their birth certificates or something like that.
Use this to your advantage. No matter how tech savvy we think we are the younger generation is so much more ahead of the curve and on top of trends. Pick their brains. Let them teach you something.
Interns are so much more than no-cost (or low cost) help. Once you get a handle on that concept, you will really be able to make an intern relationship work for you.
